Teachers Luncheon

Brownies
Our annual Teachers Luncheon is coming up on August 12 to bless our local teachers, but there’s much work to be done!
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to make brownies. As of today we have a commitment for 19 dozen brownies!
That means we just need 6-11 dozen more.
If you are interested in bringing brownies
for the Teachers Luncheon
please email Bekah at bekah.brandt@fbchondo.org and let her know
how many dozen brownies you’re bringing,
or use one of the sign up sheets located throughout the church.
Please drop the brownies off at the church on
Tuesday (8/11) or early Wednesday (8/12) morning

Big Event

Block Party Planning Meeting
This Sunday, August 9, at 4:00pm there will be a meeting to plan the Block Party that will follow Big Event. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to attend!
Planning Meeting and Potluck
On Sunday, August 16, just after the service at 12:15, there will be a planning meeting and potluck.
The last of the Project Applications will be in by this meeting so we should be able to knock out some substantial plans.
If you want to volunteer for Big Event in any capacity and still haven’t, make sure to fill out a volunteer form! This helps us keep all of the information organized and in one place.

Your testimonies are wonderful;
therefore my soul keeps them.
The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple.
I open my mouth and pant,
because I long for your commandments.
Turn to me and be gracious to me,
as is your way with those who love your name.
Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
and let no iniquity get dominion over me.
Redeem me from man’s oppression,
that I may keep your precepts.
Make your face shine upon your servant,
and teach me your statutes.
My eyes shed streams of tears,
because people do not keep your law.
