Building Community in Christ

1. Fellowship of the Believers (Acts 2:42-47)

a. Devoted to teaching 

b. Devoted to one another 

- Tabling

- Prayer

- Sacrificial Generosity 

- Worship

c. Are you devoted to the church community like the believers in Acts 2:42-47? If not, what can you do to grow in fellowship and prayer with others?”

2. Salt & Light in the Community (Matthew 5:13-16)

a. Prevent moral decay 

- Call out corruption in the world

- Christians must permeate society as agents of redemption

- If you do not apply salt to what is perishable, it will decay. If the church does not permeate a society, it will decay.

b. Christians must let their good works shine before the rest of the world so that others may praise God.

- Matthew 6:1

2. Be a blessing 

- “How can you be salt and light in your workplace, neighborhood, or city this week?”

3. Call to Action

a. Involvement in Church Life:

- Take one specific step in deepening their involvement in the church community. 

1. Commit to joining a small group or Bible study.

2. Serve in a ministry or area of need within the church.

3. Participate in prayer meetings or worship nights.

b. Engaging the City of Hondo:

- Volunteer at

3. Schools

- Pray for our Missions & Outreach Committee 

- Build intentional relationships with neighbors and coworkers, showing Christ’s love through small acts of kindness.
